GROUP AIRFARE

Stop overpaying for group airfare.

Two Misconceptions About Using a Travel Advisor for Airfare.

 I can do it online.

When booking group airfare with online retailers (Expedia, Travelocity, etc) you are limited to 9 tickets. If you need more than 9 tickets, you do not have access to know what the remaining tickets will cost. Often, the additional costs could be much higher because your first 9 created a demand and the online retailer could increase cost significantly. Also, they may not have the additional seats you need. You won’t know that until after you’ve committed for the first set of seats.

I can just do it myself.

While you can certainly do it yourself you may be paying more. What travel advisors bring to the table is leverage. Example: when Kevin calls XYZ Airline they have no clue who Kevin is. When Kevin uses his airline partners (leverage) who do business regularly with the airlines, travel advisors can provide unpublished fares which can save you a lot of money and time. The best deals are often found on international flights.

Caution: If you are shopping travel advisors the first person quoted will often win. Here’s why. They typically hold seats which causes a demand for the flight driving the prices up. It’s important to know who you are working with. Not all advisors are the same. We pride ourselves in working with churches and groups because that’s who we want to work with, and we want to work with you year over year.

The advantage of group airfare is when booked early enough, you can reserve seats with a minimal deposit while you continue to build your group.
